Radiology Technician
Austin, TX 78731 In Person $45.00 – $48.00 / hr

The Radiologic Technologist in a Free-Standing Emergency Room performs diagnostic imaging procedures. This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced emergency environment, ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including X-ray and CT imaging
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and imaging techniques for high-quality images
  • Operate radiologic equipment safely adhering to radiation safety standards
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and provide compassionate care
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinical staff to support timely diagnosis
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration
  • Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records in EMR
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe imaging environment
  • Collect and perform in-house lab orders
  • Assist with specimen processing and preparation for reference laboratory pickup
  • Maintain quality control logs and ensure laboratory equipment calibration
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently in a free-standing emergency room environment
  • Experience with Free Standing ER Lab and running in-house lab orders
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of radiology experience (CT & X-ray), preferably in an emergency department
  • Strong knowledge of trauma imaging protocols
  • Experience with PACS and EMR systems

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate ER Front Desk Specialist to be the welcoming face of our freestanding emergency department. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a smooth patient experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Verify patient insurance coverage through insurance verification processes
  • Collect and process payments, including medical collections and billing procedures
  • Maintain accurate medical records by updating EMR systems
  • Assist with intake procedures, including gathering medical history
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette
  • Support medical administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and timely care
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10, and medical billing
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills for filing, record keeping, and managing workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
  • Previous clinic or hospital front desk experience; ER experience is a bonus
  • Medical Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
